Hawaii Police Department  has advised that yet another inmate has escaped from the Hale Nani Correctional Facility in Hilo.

Sunday afternoon around 2:30, Joshua Kalili, a 20-year-old male, walked away from the facility.  Kalili  is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5’9″, 180 lbs., brown complexion, medium built, and last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.

Kalili  resides in the Honaunau area in Kona.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.

This is the second Hale Nani escapee in a week.   Ryan James Jeffries-Hamar walked away from the facility on Tuesday, August 14.  He has been seen in the Kainaliu and Kona areas, but so far, police have not reported his capture.

Hale Nani is a minimum security facility.  Prisoners at the facility are usually on work-release programs and are usually fairly close to the end of their sentences, so they’re being reintegrated into the community.
