Bee Classes Resume This Saturday in Hilo

Big Island Beekeepers Assoc (BIBA) is continuing its Apiary Days program to provide basic beekeeping info to new and experienced beekeepers alike.   The schedule for upcoming sessions:

 

Saturday, August 25 – Special Topic: Extraction, Session Leader – Scott Nelson.

 

Saturday, September 8 – Hive Maintenance, Session Leader – Larry Reiss.  Saturday,

 

September 22 – HASS Bee Club, Session Leader – Jen Rasmussen.

 

Attendees should be at Komohana Ag complex on Komohana St. in Hilo by 10:00 a.m.  Please wear long pants, long sleeves (relatively thick jacket if possible), enclosed shoes and a hat with a brim.  The brim is particularly necessary for properly supporting a bee veil, if you have one. Also, please bring tough gloves that extend up past the wrist.
