Big Island Visitors Bureau Promoting Aussie Tourists

February 13, 2011

A representative from the Big Island Visitors Bureau are in Australia to help promote tourism to the County and State.  Debbie Hogan is part of a fourteen-member delegation fat the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo in Melbourne.  Others on the trip include representatives from Hilton, Starwood, Marriott, Hawaiian Airlines, and other members of the Hawaii Tourism Authority team from Oahu, Maui and Kaua’i.

On Hawaii Island, tourism is the biggest industry.   This island’s tourist trade is taking longer to recover than Maui and Oahu.
