Hawaii Fire Department and the Division of Fish and Wildlife, part of the Department of Land and Natural Resources, are on the scene of a brush fire burning in the forest reserve above Laupahoehoe.  They first responded Wednesday afternoon to what is so far a 20-acre brushfire and will continue fighting the fire.

Hawaii Fire Department’s Chopper 1 is doing water drops and there are several on-ground pieces of equipment as well.
