Flags at Half Staff to Remember Wisconsin Victims

Governor Neil Abercrombie has ordered that all national and state flags at all State offices and agencies as well as the Hawai’i  National Guard are to be flown at half-staff as directed by President  Barack Obama.

 

President Obama made the Presidential Proclamation as a mark of respect for the  victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on August 5, 2012,  in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

 

Flags shall be flown at half-staff beginning today until sunset, August  10, 2012.

 

On Sunday, a 40-year-old gunman opened fire at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin  killing six people and critically injuring three others.  The gunman was shot to death by police.
