Hawaii State Department of Transportation has announced its planned roadwork for the next week, between December 10 and December 16, 2011. All closures are subject to weather delays and other changes.
— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —
1) LAUPAHOEHOE TO NINOLE
Intermittent single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Stevens Road and Old Mamalahoa Highway on Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, From 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., daily, for slope stabilization work and road resurfacing.
2) PA’AUILO
Alternating single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Pohakea Road and Maunakea Ranch Road (vicinity of Milepost 35) on Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for roadway paving work.
3) HONOKA’A (CONTINUOUS)
24-hour single lane closures on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in alternating directions between Kapuna Road and Pikake Street (vicinity of Milepost 44), for road reconstruction work. A temporary traffic signal will be placed in the area to control traffic around the work site.
— QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —
1) KAILUA-KONA KIHOLO BAY
Alternating single lane shifts on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) in both directions between Kolekole Beach Park Road and Puunahulu Landfill Road (vicinity of Milepost 82) on Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing.
— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 190) —
1) NORTH KONA
Alternating lane closures on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190), in both directions between Old Kona Village Road and Huehue Ranch Road (the vicinity of Mileposts 27 to 31) on Monday, December 12, through Friday, December 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for guardrail installations.
