Friday, today, at 10:45 a.m. after conferring with prosecutors, Sam Ryelan Perez was charged for one count of first degree burglary and one count of second degree theft. Bail for Perez was set at $35,000.00 and he is being held at the police cellblock pending his initial appearance on Monday.
On August 23, 2012 shortly before 4:00 p.m., a 57-year-old Honoka?a woman called police and reported that upon returning home, she discovered that her residence was entered and several items were missing.
Police learned that a neighbor observed a male running through adjacent yards and recognized Perez.
Detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigation Section continued the investigation and Perez was identified as the suspect.
Police have recovered a portion of the stolen property allegedly taken by Perez.
