Historic Kailua Village will once again ramp up the fun for Kokua Kailua on Sunday, May 20. During the event, oceanfront Alii Drive is transformed into a pedestrian-only walkway from 1pm until 6pm.
Kokua Kailua presents kama’aina and visitors a unique opportunity to stroll in and out of the array of shops and restaurants in Historic Kailua Village. And there is the added bonus of dozens of vendors lining Alii Drive with tempting island-made crafts, art, and more.
Free entertainment on the lawn at Hulihee Palace begins at 4:00pm.
The next Kokua Kailua will be Sunday, June 10.
Kokua Kailua Village Stroll is sponsored by the Kailua Village Business Improvement District, the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Destination Kona Coast, Kailua Village Merchants Association, Hulihee Palace, West Hawaii Today and Pacific Radio Group. The program is designed to rally support for merchants and restaurants and to remind residents to shop, dine and buy local.
