On Wednesday, there will be a groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the Lalamilo Hawaiian Homes Subdivision in Waimea.
Governor Neil Abercrombie and Mayor Billy Kenoi will be part of the event (following the blessing and groundbreaking for the new Ka’u Gym earlier that morning). Jobie M. K. Masagatani, Chair-Designate, Hawaiian Homes Commission, will also take part in the event.
The Lalamilo Hawaiian Homes Subdivision will be an 83-lot Hawaiian homestead development. It’s at the end of South Kohala Distribution Road. Infrastructure work on Phase 2A, Increment 1 will start once the blessing is completed.
The public is invited to the ceremony Wednesday at 1 p.m.
