The second annual Hawai’i Island Robotics Exploration and Showcase (HI-RES) is Saturday October 20 at the Kealakehe High Cafeteria from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The event will include an islandwide robotics tournament and lots of family fun. The event will demonstrate the work of local students and their exploration in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through educational robotics, the community’s student leaders have developed the engineering, personal communication, and project management skills that allow them to lead Hawaii forward. There will be more than 250 students from 20 schools on Hawaii Island, Maui, and Oahu.
The Hawai’i Island Robotics Exploration and Showcase is free, and will include not just the robotics competition and demonstrations, but hands on activities, food for sale (including Krispy Kreme donuts) and giveaways.
