From Hawaii County Police: Big Island police are investigating the robbery of a California man Monday night (October 15) in Kona. At 10:35 p.m., Kona patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery in the rear parking lot of Ali’i Sunset Plaza, which is located between Kuakini Highway and Ali’i Drive in Kailua-Kona. A 50-year-old Los Angeles man reported that he walked in the direction of a group of males at the rear of the plaza, where he was attacked by two of them. From Hawaii County Police: A 32-year-old Utah woman died Monday (October 8) from a motorcycle crash in the area of Akoni Pule Highway at the 28-mile marker in the area known as Waikama, close to Polulu Valley.   The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. A 35-year-old Utah man was operating a rented 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling northwest on Akoni Pule Highway with his wife riding on the back, when he swerved to avoid a car that crossed the centerline into his lane. Pilot Injured in Glider Forced Landing Sunday in Waimea

The pilot was injured in the crash of a motorized glider Sunday morning near Waimea Airport.   Hawaii Fire Department got the call at 10:07 a.m.   During the landing approach, while in “glider” mode, the pilot, an 80-year-old man,  experienced inadequate lift while turning from downwind to the base leg of his landing pattern.  The pilot attempted to start the engine in an attempt to make it to the runway, but the engine failed to start.  The pilot had to make a forced landing in a pasture approximately 150 yards South East of the runway.…

From Hawaii Police Department: Big Island police are seeking witnesses to a robbery Tuesday night (September 18) in West Hawai?i. Kona patrol officers responded to a 7:45 p.m. report of a robbery in a parking lot below Kona Community Hospital and learned that a 22-year-old Captain Cook woman had been sitting in a parked Gold Mazda sedan when a male reportedly approached her and pointed what appeared to be a firearm at her. Teen Boy Killed in Pauillo

A  teenager was killed Friday evening after being hit by a semi truck on Highway 19, Hawaii Belt Road, at Pa’auilo Makai Road in Pa’auillo on the Hamakua Coast. The  boy had just gotten off a Hele-On Bus around 5:30 p.m. and was hit by the truck while he was crossing the road.   Witnesses said the boy ran into the road into the path of the truck.  Hawaii Fire Department fire and medic teams responded.  The boy was found without signs of life and was taken to North Hawaii Community Hospital where he was pronounced…

From Hawaii Police Department: A 65-year-old Hawi man died Tuesday (September 4) from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash Monday (September 3) on Akoni Pule Highway, 1 mile west of Pololu Loop in North Kohala.
