Hawaii County Corporation Counsel Lincoln Ashida, who currently represents civil cases for Hawaii County and the Mayor and Hawaii County Council in their official duties, has announced he will run for the elective position of County Prosecutor. Current Acting Prosecutor Charlene Iboshi said some time ago she would not run. She took over the position when Prosecutor Jay Kimura, who held the position for 30 years, retired last July.
