John Rocco, a counselor on Oahu, has announced his candidacy for the United States Senate. He will challenge former Governor Linda Lingle and attorney John Carroll for the Republican spot on the 2012 General Election ballot in seeking to replace retiring Senator Daniel Akaka. Rocco says he is a sometime church pianist and cantor for Sunday Mass and founder of the Saint Damien Advocates.
