Hawaii County Fire Department’s unit stationed in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates responded Saturday to what they described as a motor vehicle/pedestrian incident on Highway 11 close to Mile Marker 85, near Manuka State Park, They found a 20-year-old male on the side of the road with an injury to his arm. The Fire Department used Chopper 2 to transport the young man to Kona Community Hospital Emergency Room for treatment. Hawaii Police Department is investigating the incident. No further information about the injured man nor the incident is available at this time.
