Utah Woman Dies in Motorcycle Crash

From Hawaii County Police: A 32-year-old Utah woman died Monday (October 8) from a motorcycle crash in the area of Akoni Pule Highway at the 28-mile marker in the area known as Waikama, close to Polulu Valley.   The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. A 35-year-old Utah man was operating a rented 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling northwest on Akoni Pule Highway with his wife riding on the back, when he swerved to avoid a car that crossed the centerline into his lane. From Hawaii Police Department: A 76-year-old Kapolei man died Friday (September 14) from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday (August 29) on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) at the 18-mile marker in the North Kohala District. The man was identified as Calvin B.T. Hoo, of a Kapolei address. From Hawaii Police Department, Tuesday morning, September 11, 8:30 a.m. A 61-year-old woman and a 54-year-old woman, both from Kea’au, died Monday (September 10) from injuries they received in a two- vehicle crash on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 19), .2 miles east of the 39-mile-marker in the Hamakua District. From Hawaii Police Department: An autopsy has determined that 50-year-old Paul S. Tsang of San Francisco died from cardiac arrest not from drowning. Tsang was snorkeling in waters in South Kohala on June 13, when he was found unresponsive. He was taken to North Hawai?i Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
