Hawaii Police Department has summarized recent drug-related burglary arrests and are renewing their request for help to find one more suspect: Big Island police have arrested 10 individuals in connection with a drug-related burglary ring. On September 12, police arrested 31-year-old Joshua Watan of Kealakekua. On September 14, detectives charged him with criminal trespassing, meth trafficking, promoting a dangerous drug and two counts of possessing illegal drug paraphernalia. Hale Nani Escapee Arrested in Kealakekua

From Hawaii Police Department: A 31-year-old Kailua-Kona man wanted for allegedly escaping from a correctional facility was arrested in West Hawai’i. Ryan Jeffries-Hamar was located and arrested Saturday (September 8) in Kealakekua near the intersection of Highway 11 and Halekii Street. He is suspected of escaping from Hale Nani off Route 11 Tuesday afternoon (August 14). Jeffries-Hamar also had an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of terms and conditions of furlough that he was arrested for. From Hawaii Police Department: A drug arrest during a warrant sweep has linked the suspect to a burglary ring believed responsible for numerous break-ins in West Hawai’i. On Wednesday (August 29) at about 11:30 a.m., officers participating in an islandwide fugitive warrant sweep arrested Joseph Augustino Narzisi at an apartment complex in the Kalaoa area. Narzisi was wanted on three outstanding bench warrants and several all-points bulletins. While in the process of contacting him, officers observed paraphernalia associated with narcotics use and drafted a search warrant for the apartment. From the apartment, officers recovered 63.3…

Police Seeking Escapee from Prison

Hawaii Police Department issued an alert just after midnight Wednesday morning that Ryan Jeffries-Hamar, a 31-year-old male, has escaped from Hale Nani.  Hale Nani is the reintegration program for Hawaii Community Correctional Center, and is in Panaewa.  It offers a work release program for inmates who are going to be released on Hawaii Island. The inmates are generally put to work in the community before they are released, in nonprofit or government programs. Jeffries-Hamar is described at 5’7″ tall, 165 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was arrested in Kailua-Kona in  2007…
