From Hawaii Police Department, Update on Friday, February 17, 11 a.m.: A South Kona man who set himself on fire and attempted to do the same to his ex-girlfriend has been charged with attempted murder and six other offenses. Robert York, 27, of H?naunau was charged at 7 p.m. Thursday with second-degree attempted murder, kidnapping, first-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree arson, criminal trespassing and two counts of abuse of a family/household member. From  a Hawaii Police Department News Release: A Hilo man has been charged with seven offenses related to domestic violence. On Saturday (February 12) just after 7 p.m., South Hilo patrol officers responded to a report of a domestic violence incident that took place earlier that day at a residence in Hilo. Two women, ages 50 and 23, reported being assaulted, threatened and held against their will within the residence they shared with a 38-year-old man. Edward Daog Charged with Four Offenses (Update)

Update: At 4:10 p.m. Wednesday (February 9), Big Island police charged 25-year-old Edward Daog of Hilo, with kidnapping, second-degree terroristic threatening, felony abuse of a family/household member, and attempted first-degree sexual assault. His bail was set at $112,000. He is being held at the Hilo Police Station cellblock pending his initial court appearance. Update: Big Island police have arrested 25-year-old Edward Daog of Hilo, who was being sought.  Daog turned himself in to police Tuesday (February 8).  He is being held at the Hilo Police Station cellblock pending further investigation.
