Vendor Now Charging Visitors at Akaka Falls State Park

The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of State Parks has initiated a new five year contract for the collection of entry fees at Akaka Falls State Park, with Makai Parking Inc. now on site as the new vendor to collect the fees starting today.

The current fees will remain the same and are only collected from commercial tour operators and out of state visitors.

The fee schedule is as follows:

General Public:
Resident:                                                 no charge
Visitor:                                                   $5.00 per vehicle
Pedestrian, moped, motorcycle         $1.00 dollar per person

Commercial PUC vehicles:
1-7            passenger vehicles:                $10.00
8-25         passenger vehicles:                $20.00
25 +         passenger vehicles:                $40.00
