Wyndham Acquires Shell Resorts — Three Here

Wyndham Vaction Ownership announced it is acquiring Shell Vacations, LLC, which includes the Paniolo Greens in Waikoloa, the Kona Coast Resort in Keauhou, and Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village in Keauhou near the Sheraton Kona at Keauhou Bay.

Wyndham is paying $102 million in cash and will take over $153 million in debt.  Shell is one of the largest independent vacation ownership club and property management groups, serving approximately 115,000 members and 19 managed resorts in North America.

The local resorts will still operate under the Shell name.  Other Shell resorts in the state include Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai;  The Cliffs Club in Princeville, Kaua’i; Kaua’i Coast Resort in Kapa’a, Kaua’i; and Lawai Beach Resort in Koloa, Kaua’i.
